20 Free Fonts (finally)

I love "dabbling in design" and fonts is a huge part of that. I love that someone can make a whole set of letters look the way they do. I've tried in a notebook, and I haven't been successful quite yet. Anyways, I've been meaning to do a post like this for so long and i'm so happy I finally get to share. Here are some of my favorite free fonts as of late. The links will be listed below.

Anyways, I'm wildly excited. 

I love food, family time, and not working is good also.
Obviously a thankful heart is something we should always have.
But it's November is always a nice reminder.

Designing for days.

I think I'm done. With designing this ole blog.
The past few days haven't shown lots of changes,
just a lot of uncertainty. 

I've been so inspired by simplicity is others blogs,

and you can see that translated to mine.

I'd love to hear your critiques? Placements?
Fonts? too black and white?
Don't hesitate to say.

Hopefully, a week from now I'll still like this.

Dating and Designing.

dating is hard. this might not be a surprise to a lot of you.
but i actually thought it was going to be a blast.
this is the first time in my life where i've actually had to date.
i'm spoiled. it's always been "crush, first date, boyfriend" type deal.

i've had some thoughts that may be valid, or i may still be in a daze.
but thoughts none the less.
i'm odd. and it might take awhile to find someone else who's odd, matches mine.
a fun time doesn't always make for a relationship.
settling is not even an option. not for a second.
it's okay to wait to be swept off my feet.

Let's just say someone is testing my capability to wait.
And wait I will.

Invincible Summer Freebie

I'm longing for summer.

Punny Valentine Freebies.

I've got high hopes for this week.

I'm excited to go to work and hang out with my favorite pre-k's.
I did 3 tutorials over the weekend, and went to my sister in law's baby shower.
(I'll show you pictures.)
I re-did my blog and am finishing up another blog design.
Peaches and Lavender photography is meeting with another bride this week.
(eeeek. i'm too excited.)

I plan on being productive, and I'm going to love every minute of it.

Free Printable: Christmas To Do

so...I've been feeling lazy?
and that might be an understatement.
I'm not working the whole month of december.
I didn't wake up until 11:30 today.
I've been watching way too much netflix.
I watched the first season of downton abbey, amazing by the way,
and I'm in the third season of parenthood.
(that's been in the past week)
it's a joke.

but that laziness has led me to fall behind in blogging...
so I made something for you.
Me and Ben have a Christmas to do list.
I think it's so fun, and I thought you might want one!

DIY: Photoshop Christmas Trees

I know it's not even thanksgiving yet, but I'm so excited for Christmas.

Secretly I've been listening to the Relient K Christmas cd a lot. (let it snow baby, let it reindeer)

I recommend it if you want a change of pace in your holiday tunes.

Anyways....

I've been experimenting with Christmas card templates lately,

and through some steps I made these Christmas trees.

It takes a few steps, but they're so cute, if I do say so myself.

As usual, I hope it all makes sense.   :)

1. Select a large patterned image to use the base of your tree. 

2. Select a hard round brush. Change the size to your liking, and change the spacing to 80%.

3. Create a new layer, and drag your brush along the corner of your image..

3. and then fill in the rest

4. Select your corner by pressing ctrl + the layer

5. Hide your black corner layer, copy the background layer, and fill with a green paint.

6. Change the layer blending mode from normal to linear burn.

(i've also had good results with the options color, and hue.)

7. Merge the background layer's and then copy and paste the corner onto a new file.

8. Adjust the size, and the angle

9. Copy the layer as many times as you'd like,
and layer them in such a way that they lay on top of each other.

10. From another file copy and paste a rectangle for the trunk of your tree. 

11. Using the polygon tool, make a star. Copy and paste it. 

(I used the same file as my trunk and just added paint filled in yellow, and lowered the opacity)

New Blog Design!

It was a photoshop day.

One of those days where everything just flows, 

and I make something I love.

I've been wanting a new blog look for a while,

and frankly? I'm too happy about it.

Not terrible, just terrific

Have I ever told you how much I adore working with kids?

They are so great.

Everyone says 2 year olds are "terrible."

But they're really just terrific.

I think they're sweet, and funny, and lovely.
Today I got multiple "love you's" and cheek kisses.

And then I saw this video..and I died.

It's the greatest. Enjoy.
